A contemporary painter whose practice centers on re-establishing the lost connection between human beings and nature. Through the use of fluid techniques, rich textural layers, and abstract floral forms, she seeks to make visible the rupture between the inner world and the natural environment.
Her visual language is grounded in simplicity, yet carries layered symbolic depth. Wildflowers, in her work, are not merely elements of nature; they embody a quiet resistance and a delicate strength. Her paintings propose a deceleration in contrast to the speed of modern life, inviting the viewer to reconnect with what has been forgotten.
Each layer carries the trace of a suppressed emotion, while each color becomes a reflection of inner transformation. Yurtsever’s works extend beyond aesthetic experience; they open a contemplative space that encourages the viewer to pause, feel, and remember. Her canvases function as sites of both personal and collective healing.
Artist Statement / Manifesto
As we move further away from nature, we also lose touch with our essence. The greyness, speed, and noise of urban life suppress the nature within us. With every brushstroke, I aim to reveal what has been repressed and reconnect it with the natural world.
I create forms that are quiet yet resilient, like wildflowers. Fluidity represents the unstable and shifting nature of our emotions, while textures carry traces of lived experiences and struggles. For me, beauty is a carrier of subtle strength. Beneath what appears fragile lies a profound endurance.
Art, for me, is not merely an aesthetic field but a space of spiritual resistance. It is an act that reminds us that reconnecting with nature, with ourselves, and with slowness is still possible in the face of modern pressures.
My practice is a call to restore the broken bond between humans and nature. Through wildflower forms, I bring forth the untamed and free aspects of the human spirit. Each fluid layer reflects both suppressed emotions and a reawakening nature.
This is not only an aesthetic production, but also part of a process of transformation and collective healing. Through my work, I invite the viewer to:
Slow down. Feel. Remember.
Because nature does not disappear—it is only forgotten. And I seek to make the forgotten visible again.

In this piece, I wanted to capture the moment where the earth seems to dissolve into the atmosphere. I am fascinated by the patterns we see from great heights—how a river or a coastline looks like a vein in a leaf or a streak of light in the sky.
I used these rich, fiery oranges and deep browns to represent the raw, tactile energy of the land, and let them bleed into the calm, open blues of a distant horizon. The dark line running through the center is the 'spine' of the work; it represents the path of least resistance that nature always finds. For me, this painting is about the beauty of chaos and the way energy is never lost, only reshaped into new forms. I hope that when you look at it, you feel as though you are floating above a landscape that is still being born—a world where everything is in a constant, beautiful state of flow
