Rossana Corrado is an esteemed Italian sculptor, currently based in Cairo, Egypt, whose artistic journey is deeply rooted in both her native Italy and her adopted homeland. She graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Carrara, Italy in 1994, where she earned a First Class Honors Degree in Sculpture, presenting a thesis titled "Puglia: architettura e immagini di uno spazio" (Apulia: Architecture, Images, and Space). This pivotal study explored the intricate intersections of Theory of Perception and Psychology of the visual form.

Is it really an angel now? A woman sitting in a crossed legs pose on a stainless steel pedestal. The woman body is incomplete but the parts of her body we cannot see powerfully exists all the same through the visible form. She is there with her whole body showing the struggle of her human existence. Her wings represent her search for a dimension above our understanding and limitations. Her pedestal is a complete and important part of the artistic expression and meaning, represent the “Corner” in this world from where she seats and watches and wait.
