Mai Abd ElLatif is a visual artist, assistant lecturer, and researcher whose paintings explore themes of memory, identity, and cultural narratives. Her work blends vibrant colors, layered textures, and symbolic imagery to reflect on personal and collective experiences, often drawing inspiration from childhood games, nostalgia, and heritage.

Mai’s paintings merge traditional techniques with contemporary themes, creating a dialogue between past and present. Influenced by storytelling, folklore, and the visual language of everyday life, her work incorporates elements from popular culture, historical references, and personal symbolism.

With over a decade of artistic experience, Mai has exhibited in prestigious venues, including the Salon of Youth, Access Art Gallery, Istanbul Arel University, and Hanager. She has received several awards, including first prize at the Salon of Youth for painting.

As an assistant lecturer and researcher, Mai continues to explore the evolving nature of visual expression, using painting as a medium to question, reinterpret, and celebrate cultural identity in a rapidly changing world
