In Dark Virtue, I wanted to represent the quiet power of a person’s character—the kind of strength that doesn't need to shout to be heard. I chose a palette of deep purples and warm golds to suggest a regal, inner dignity that stands in high contrast against the bright, electric turquoise of the background.
I work with beads and fishing line because I love how they interact with the world around them. This isn't a static image; it reacts to the light and the movement of people in the room. Every bead is a small decision, a fragment of the whole identity that only reveals itself when all the strings hang in alignment. I titled it Dark Virtue to highlight the beauty found in the deep, shaded parts of our spirit—the resilient parts that hold us together when everything else is in motion. It is a celebration of the intricate, shimmering complexity of being human
