Energy
110 W × 80 H × 5 D cm

With this piece, I didn't just want to paint a wave; I wanted to capture the moment of impact. The ocean is never still, and in Energy, I sought to freeze that split second where the water turns from a deep, translucent blue to a chaotic, explosive white.

I chose acrylics for their ability to be built up quickly in thick, tactile layers. The lime-green highlights within the swell represent the sunlight piercing through the water right before it breaks—that flash of life and transparency that occurs amidst the power. For me, the rocks in the foreground are the anchor, the silent witnesses to the sea's relentless drive. I hope that when you stand before this canvas, you don't just see a seascape; you feel the spray, the sound of the crash, and the sheer, unbridled force of nature pushing against the edge of our world.
