My Mirror
100 W × 100 H × 3 D cm

The first piece features a woman viewed from behind, her back "branded" with a QR code which she is simultaneously capturing in a handheld mirror. The second depicts a figure seated on the warped floor, their face entirely obscured by a smartphone—the modern mask. Jamal’s brushwork is smooth and deliberate, lending a plastic-like perfection to the skin that mirrors the filtered reality of online personas.
