No 4 I

In No. 4 I, I wanted to capture the sky not as a backdrop, but as a moving entity that shapes everything beneath it. We often think of the horizon and the buildings that define it as solid and permanent, but in the fading light of a sunset, everything becomes malleable.

I have used these rhythmic, wave-like distortions to represent the way memory and emotion can warp a single moment in time. The warmth of the orange and pink hues melting into the cool blue of the upper sky creates a vibration that I wanted to physically manifest through the lines of the work. For me, this piece is about the surrender of the physical world to the energy of the atmosphere. It is a reminder that our perception is never truly static; like the light at dusk, our view of the world is always in a state of beautiful, fluid transition
