Tethered to Hope
40 W × 60 H × 5 D cm

In this evocative work, the artist explores the gravity of the internal self through a composition that is as unsettling as it is serene. At the top of the frame, an inverted human face emerges from the shadows, eyes closed in a state of suspended animation or deep introspection. The hair is bound and tethered to a horizontal bar, creating a literal and metaphorical "hang" that defies natural physics.

Suspended from a central hook is a vibrant, heart-shaped object—perhaps a fruit or a stylized organ—rendered in glowing reds and oranges. This serves as the sole source of warmth in an otherwise cool, moody palette of slate blues and deep ochres. The heavy, painterly texture applied to the photographic base strips away the clinical "truth" of the camera, instead offering a glimpse into a fractured, subconscious reality. It is a meditation on the weight of emotion and the delicate, often painful, balance of holding one's identity together
