Ahmed Abdel Fattah is a contemporary Egyptian painter and VR artist. He works as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Luxor University. He graduated with distinction in 2011 and earned a master’s degree in painting and new media art in 2018. He earned his PhD in virtual reality in 2024 and is considered one of the pioneers of virtual reality art in Egypt. In addition to his expertise in oil painting, his works have been exhibited internationally in Germany, Italy, Russia, Bahrain, London, New York, Guatemala, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, as well as in local exhibitions in Egypt. Abdel Fattah has won several awards, including two from the National Bank of Egypt for portrait art in 2022. He was also among the top 30 young talents at the 2017 World Festival of Youth and Students in Russia, where he met Russian President Vladimir Putin. In 2016, he won the Nasser bin Hamad Award for Drawing.
