Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Helwan University in 1985, El Komy has dedicated his life to exploring the profound connections between culture, identity, and human expression through his work.

A member of the Syndicate of Fine Artists and the Association of Fine Arts Lovers, El Komy has played an influential role in shaping the Egyptian visual arts landscape. His early career was marked by exhibitions in prominent venues, including Al-Ghouri Agency and Atelier Cairo in 1985, and later at the Egyptian Academy in Rome in 1992. Over the years, he has hosted numerous solo exhibitions, including “Human Features” (2014), “Life” (2017), and “Life 2” (2019).

His sculptural masterpieces are housed in esteemed public collections, including the Museum of Egyptian Modern Art, Cairo Opera House, and the Child Museum in Heliopolis. Notable among his works are the statues of Umm Kulthum and Mohamed Abdel Wahab at the Cairo Opera House, and the "War and Peace" monument in Shebin El-Kom.
