Dr. Ramadan Ibrahim Khamis is a prominent Egyptian sculptor whose remarkable career has made him a significant figure in contemporary art. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Helwan University in 1991 and a PhD in the Philosophy of Art in Sculpture from the same institution in 2004, Dr. Khamis blends a profound academic foundation with an innovative artistic vision.
Currently, he serves as the General Manager and Head of the Sculpture Department at the Production Sector of Egyptian Television and imparts his expertise as a Visiting Lecturer in Relief and Direct Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mansoura University.
Dr. Khamis has been an active participant in the art world since 1991, contributing to public and private exhibitions both in Egypt and abroad. His work has been showcased at venues such as the Picasso Gallery in Zamalek and the Contemporary Egyptian Art Exhibition in Rome during the Egypt-Italy cultural exchange. A regular contributor to the Annual General Exhibition of Fine Arts, he continues to leave an indelible mark on the art community.
His talent has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 14th Youth Salon Award, Second Prize at the "Art Post-COVID" exhibition, and the prestigious Sculpture Prize for his "Pharaonic Flavored Art." His works are featured in esteemed collections locally, internationally, and in the Museum of Modern Art.
As a member of the Board of Directors of the Syndicate of Fine Artists and the Cinema Professions Syndicate, Dr. Khamis remains deeply involved in the cultural and artistic fabric of Egypt. His enduring dedication to his craft and his contributions to the field of sculpture have cemented his legacy as a pioneer of modern Egyptian art.
