In this work, I wanted to visualize the moment the universe first heard the Divine command. I chose the word كن (Kun)—'Be'—because it is the spark of all that exists.

The background is a marbled sky of lapis lazuli and gold, intended to feel like a cosmic nebula in a state of constant motion. 

I worked on a large scale to allow the movement of the ink to breathe, mirroring the expansion of life itself. The gold leaf that runs through the black letters represents the light of life entering the form. For me, the way the letters sweep across the papyrus is like a dance between the creator and the creation. I hope that when you look at this, you don't just see a word, but you feel the vibration of that first 'Be' still echoing through everything around us
