In this work, I wanted to paint the rhythm of life as it was intended—organized, purposeful, and healing. I am fascinated by the story of the honeybee, a creature that follows a divine path to produce a cure for humanity. By writing the words of Surah An-Nahl across this canvas, I am tracing that same path.
The large, red letter هـ (Heh) stands at the center like a flowering vine or a heartbeat, reminding us that هو (Hu)—the Divine Presence—is the source from which all these natural wonders grow. I chose the papyrus because it is raw and earthy, a perfect foundation for the thousands of small, circular motifs that represent the tireless energy of creation.
Spanning, I wanted to create a garden you can get lost in. The crimson ink is the color of life and passion, while the gold accents represent the 'shifa' (healing) mentioned in the text. To me, this painting is a celebration of the signs hidden in plain sight. It is a call to 'reflect,' as the verse says, on the beauty that emerges when we follow the paths laid out for us by the Creator
