Presented as a series of ten oval "windows," this work invites the viewer to peer into the overlooked details of a lived-in city. The artist employs a voyeuristic framing technique that transforms mundane surfaces—peeling paint, hand-painted doors, torn posters, and graffiti—into self-contained abstract compositions.
The collection is a study of layers and residue. We see the tension between intentional human marks (the red handprints and sketched fish) and the organic erosion caused by time and weather. The vibrant palette—ranging from sun-bleached teals and yellows to deep, saturated magentas—suggests a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern urban setting, where the intensity of the light matches the intensity of the street's history.
By isolating these fragments within classical oval frames, the artist elevates the "discarded" aesthetic of the street to the status of a portrait. Each frame acts as a microcosm of a larger, unseen narrative, celebrating the beauty found in the ephemeral and the weathered. It is a visual catalog of urban memory, recorded one texture at a time.
