Samar Hussien (b. 1987, Alexandria, Egypt) is a UAE-based visual artist and PhD candidate in Fine Arts whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting and installation. Grounded in figurative exploration and spatial openness, her work uses transparent structures and mapping strategies to investigate movement, displacement, and transitional states of presence. She is Arts Track Director and Art Consultant at Sajaya — Sharjah Girls and has 18 years’ experience designing arts programmes and leading youth-centred creative projects with Rubuʿ Qarn. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Aurora Biennale (Malmö) and the Beijing Biennale, and in a solo show at the Egyptian Opera House; her practice has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, acquired by the Opera House, and awarded the Salon of Youth for Fine Arts (Cairo).
