She studied Visual Arts in Izmir/Turkey and Cultural Management at the Leibniz University in Hannover/Germany.

Yasemin Yilmaz is a member of Federal Artists Association and the European Artists Association both in Germany and has been a jury member for several national and international competitions in visual arts, theater and cinema.

Her works were displayed in more than 20 countries and are part of private and museal collections such as: Taidemuseo Lapua/Finland, Cuiheng Museum Zhongshan/PR of China, Cabildo Museo Histórico Montevideo/Uruguay, EAC–Espacio del Arte Contemporaneo Montevideo/Uruguay, Fine Arts Museum Da Nang City/Vietnam, National Museum Yogyakarta/Indonesia, Fine Art Society Muscat/Sultanate of Oman, Modern Art Museum Faculty of Fine Arts El Minia/Egypt. Institutional collections such as Inter-Art, Aiud/Romania and European Artists Association Essen/Germany.
