“Inspiration for my art creation can take various forms: the experience of being alive, the passage of time, lingering memories, evocative sounds, written words, intimate interviews, collected stories, stirring music, classic movies, and the boundless beauty of nature. My mind thrives on this endless sensory immersion. I weave these sparks of inspiration with deep reflection, infusing them with emotion –curiosity, wish, longing, detachment, fear, regret, passion, joy, disgust, hope, love, serenity, and wondering about what's on passerby minds. This urge to articulate thought and feeling is the very fuel for my artworks. To express these ideas, I explore portraits, emotionally laden human gestures, exaggerating features to create striking perspectives often through self-portraits, and other photographic forms. I work across mediums, including woodcuts, ink drawings, acrylic painting, silkscreen and monoprint, both on canvas and on hard paper. And most of all, I cherish when people interact with my work —discovering a reflection of themselves, a moment of healing or a spark of inspiration.”
