Mamdouh Kassifi is a distinguished visual artist specializing in graphic arts, drawing, and photography. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department (1991), he has built an impressive career marked by creativity and dedication. His artistic journey has been enriched by a four-year Artistic Creativity Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture and the Siwa Art Residency Grant in 2018.
He has held five solo exhibitions, including notable works like Notebook of Records (2008), Surreal Dreams (2010), Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace (2012), In the Quiet of the Night (2016), and Love Attraction (2018). Alongside his solo endeavors, he has developed five collections in the form of artist books, showcasing his innovative approach to storytelling through visual arts.
A committed mentor, he has led numerous workshops both locally and internationally. These include collaborations with institutions such as the American University in Cairo (2015–2019), and artist residencies at Guanlan Printmaking Village, China (2009, 2010). His dedication to printmaking education has also been evident through workshops on silkscreen printing and artist books at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Zamalek.
Over the years, his work has been celebrated in more than 100 group exhibitions worldwide, reflecting his unique voice and mastery in graphic arts. From local youth salons to international residencies, his contributions continue to inspire and elevate the field of visual arts.
